TRASHLIGHT VISION: Live Performance Of RAMONES Classic Posted Online
January 4, 2007A video clip of TRASHLIGHT VISION — the band fronted by former MURDERDOLLS guitarist Acey Slade — performing a cover of the classic RAMONES song "My Brain is Hanging Upside Down (Bonzo Goes To Bitburg)" at The Continental in New York City in September 2005 is available for viewing on the UVTV (Underground Video Television) web site.
"My Brain is Hanging Upside Down (Bonzo Goes To Bitburg)" was originally written and recorded by THE RAMONES as a protest against Ronald Reagan's visit to a soldier's cemetery in Bitburg, West Germany in 1985. The visit had been criticized in Europe as well as in the United States because 49 members of the SS Nazi paramilitary organization that helped run the extermination camps during World War II were buried there.
TRASHLIGHT VISION released its first album, titled "Alibis and Ammunition", in the U.S. in November via indie label EVO Recordings. The band has toured Europe with STIFF LITTLE FINGERS as well as THE BUZZCOCKS and completed its first American tour last year with former MISFITS singer Michale Graves. In addition, TLV has shared the stage with THE U.K. SUBS, THE WILDHEARTS, and ELECTRIC FRANKENSTEIN.
